I have had the amazing opportunity to take in the association of world-class experts in Iridology at the Iridology congress in Cincinnati, Ohio in fall 2002 . Not that I had the great opportunity to hear them speak, but coming with Douglas Morrison allowed me to be a part of the speaker group, I also dined with them and had the chance to understand the way they really thought. They talked of things such as the possibility of predicting genetic bias, or how consciousness can help guide healing. It is needless to say that much of what was discussed went a little over my head. I had little experience at the time. After all, these great discussions served as my inspiration to have become who I am. However, my mentors placed that central idea in my head of the endless possibilities of what Iridology could mean. The idea stuck and everything in my life is all the better because of that. I just wanted to take a moment to recognize those who recognized my potential.

Dr. Jensen spent over 60 years as a pioneer in the holistic health field, helping to pave the way for the alternative health revolution that we are now experiencing.
Dr. Jensen began his career at the West Coast Chiropractic College where Bernard became the youngest Doctor in the state of California. He then began an intensive study of Iridology. He traveled extensively in search of health knowledge, a search that led him to over 65 countries to observe the lifestyles of the people and their various ways of eating. Each place provided a different health secret.
Following the path of the great nature cure practitioners, Dr. Jensen operated his own health sanitariums in Altadena and Escondido California for over 40 years.
People in search of health and rejuvenation came from all over the world to his Hidden Valley Health Ranch in Escondido, to learn the principles he practiced.
Over the years, Dr. Jensen received several awards, and degrees from all over the globe. Some highlights were, in 1953 he was the recipient of the Ignantz Von Peczely International Iridology Gold medal award in San Remo, Italy. In 1982 he received the National health Federation’s Pioneer Doctor of the Year award. He was awarded the Pax Mundi Award for World Peace in 1984.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jensen wrote over 40 books which were later published. In 1952 he published The Science and Practice of Iridology, Volume 1. This became an instant classic in the field and established him as one of the world’s top authorities on the subject. His second volume also has received international acclaim, and many others have become staples in the study of Iridology. Some of his other wonderful books include Chemistry of Man, Foods that Heal, and Tissue cleansing through Bowel Management.
After working with over 350,000 patients, Dr. Jensen firmly believes that iridology coupled with nutrition is the greatest therapy to be applied in the holistic healing arts and that “We must treat the patient, not just the disease.”
Douglas Morrison, N.D. Ph.D.
Douglas W. Morrison is a native of Massachusetts in the USA, where he was a high school valedictorian and National Merit Scholar. Becoming a victim of chronic health problems shortly after graduation from Harvard University with a BA in Applied Mathematics, he turned to the study of natural health alternatives. This led him to Body Electronics. He spent much of the next four years studying Body Electronics with its founder, the late Dr. John Whitman Ray. He completed over 2500 hours of study with Dr. Ray during these four years. Most of this time he lived in Maui, Hawaii. Between 1987 and 1989, he became the first person ever certified by Dr. Ray to teach the entire Body Electronics Instructors Seminar Series. He remains one of only two people to receive this certification from Dr. Ray. He has taught the Body Electronics Instructors Seminar Series over 25 times since 1988, including six times co-teaching alongside Dr. John Whitman Ray.
After coming to the conclusion that the path to overcoming his own health challenges was inherently intertwined with the release of his own habitual patterns, Ray achieved his original health goals. He then went on to continue his involvement with Body Electronics even though free of dis-ease. In addition to the immense confidence he has attained in working through many of his own struggles, he has also found great joy in helping others to accomplish their own goals. To provide others with the tools and the guidance to overcome their own obstacles and regain their health on all levels, he began teaching seminars in Body Electronics in 1988. Over the next eighteen years, Douglas taught Body Electronics on a full-time basis, conducting over 2000 days of seminars throughout the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Europe, and Africa. In addition, he assisted thousands of individuals through private consultations in person as well as by letter, phone, and e-mail.
Douglas W. Morrison is an Honorary Lifetime member of both the Body Electronics Institute of New Zealand (BEINZ) and the Australian Institute of Body Electronics Ltd (AIBEL). He is a Certified Iris-Sclera Diagnostician from the International College of Body Electronics. His articles on Body Electronics, health, and nutrition have appeared in various magazines, journals, and newsletters around the world. He is the author of a previous book Body Electronics Fundamentals, which first appeared in 1993. Since 1997, he has also sent out free e-mail updates on nutrition, health, and Body Electronics to interested people worldwide.
In addition to teaching Body Electronics seminars worldwide, he has also taught Iridology at Wellpark College of Natural Therapies in Auckland, New Zealand as part of their accredited three year Naturopathy program. He was one of the featured speakers at New Zealand’s first Iridology & Sclerology conference in November 2000. He was also one of the featured speakers at the 3rd Annual Iridology Conference of America held in October 2002 and sponsored by the American College of Iridology as well as the 6th annual conference held in October 2005.

Sharan, Farida Jeannine was born on May 28, 1942 in Vancouver, British Columbia. She came to the United States in 1963. A Canadian writer, a natural medicine professional, and a scholar of Santa Monica College in California. David J. Pesek has earned five degrees including Ph.D.’s in psychology and iridology. He is a clinical nutritionist and a member of Iridologists International (B. Jensen), an honorary association.
